The Gathering Place® is a 501(c)(3) a nonprofit, community-based cancer support center, serving the social, emotional, physical, and spiritual needs of individuals with cancer and their support network in the Northeastern part of Ohio.

Eligibility Requirements:   Programs and services offered by The Gathering Place focus on healing the mind, body, and spirit. The Gathering Place supports individuals to actively manage the impact of cancer in their lives and improve their quality of life. The HealthWell Foundation® is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization established in 2003 to address the needs of individuals who cannot afford their insurance co-payments, premiums, coinsurance, or other out-of-pocket health care costs.

Eligibility Requirements:   Household income is below 400% of the Federal Poverty Level or somewhat more in cities where the cost of living is higher. The patient is being treated for a specific disease or condition for which funding is available.  Medication is dispensed in the U.S.  Apply online by visiting: www.healthwellfoundation.org

The Chronic Disease Fund® is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization established in 2003 to provide assistance to those under-insured patients who are diagnosed with chronic or life altering diseases that require the use of expensive, specialty therapeutics.

Eligibility Requirements:    The Fund maintains proprietary income qualification guidelines.  Our guidelines are based on the Federal Median income.  We also take into consideration income levels by geographic area and the number of household dependents. Although we base our guidelines on Federal Income Statistics, we apply factors and adjustments to these statistics to take into consideration the additional medical and pharmaceutical expenses associated with chronic or life-altering diseases. The Patient Advocate Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that seeks to safeguard patients through effective mediation assuring access to care, maintenance of employment and preservation of their financial stability. Eligibility Requirements:    Have been diagnosed with a life threatening disease and need assistance in one of our service areas.  Other resourses listed in our "Money Matters" section.

CancerCare is a national non-profit organization that provides free, professional support services for anyone affected by cancer.  people with cancer, caregivers, children, loved ones, and the bereaved. CancerCare programs – including counseling, education, financial assistance and practical help – are provided by trained oncology social workers and are completely free of charge. Founded in 1944, CancerCare now provides individual help to more than 97,000 people each year, in addition to the 2.1 million visits to their websites. Eligibility Requirements:   Provide CancerCare with information about your income, savings and expenses, and in some cases provide invoices for the cost of service. Your healthcare professional must also provide information on your cancer.
