Helping Everyone Succeed
On Their Road To Recovery...
Our Mission...
Christians Overcoming Cancer (COC)is a faith-based, 501 (c)(3) tax exempt non-profit organization passionate about helping all Central Ohio cancer patients, and cancer patients nationally, SUCCEED on their ROAD TO RECOVERY through Awareness, Emotional Support and Financial Relief.
Our Purpose....
Christians Overcoming Cancer strives to educate low-to-moderate income men and women, especially those aged 18-45, the importance of monthly self exams, striving for early detection, obtaining treatment quickly and gaining awareness of the disease.
We are an information resource for those who have been diagnosed with cancer or for those who provide support for a family member or friend while in treatment.
We support those diagnosed, through individual and group contact, with a 24 hour support network of individuals from various walks of life, willing to listen, attend treatment and support family members during surgery.
We offer various solutions to financial challenges individuals in treatment face as a result of seeking treatment or providing care for a family member.
WHY WE DO...
Each person knows someone who has a family member or friend directly affected by breast, or other form of, cancer and for this reason, researchers are working diligently to find a cure.
There are organizations in place to provide assistance to cover the basic household needs of these individuals. However, ancillary expenses that they have such as life or car insurance payments, credit card payments, childcare, cable or cell phone bills and the everyday bills, continue to mount.
That’s where Christians Overcoming Cancer can help. The C.O.C. provides not only emotional support to those battling cancer, but also can connect an individual to a resource for assistance or we can provide the vital assistance they need.
The C.O.C. strives to bridge those unexpected emotional and financial gaps that form once a cancer diagnosis has been given One could rightfully say, “We begin where the other assistance ends so that a person can focus on what’s really important…THEIR RECOVERY!
